Now That Just Goes Too Far

Folks, you know when something like Larry Craig happens, there's gonna be a late-night joke or two. But for this thing to be the subject of a reenactment on MSNBC... well, that just goes too far.

See just how disgraceful this is -- just disgraceful:

This Also Doesn't Help

Folks, I'm a God-fearing man. Which means I have to ask: is God taking revenge on the Republican Party for taking his name in vain for political purposes for so many years?

If it ain't all the scandals from Delay to Foley to Larry Craig to Hurricane Katrina to you-name-it, it's the miserable news coming out of Iraq.

Did we really need a GAO report that's so pessimistic? I mean, sure, it's all true, but couldn't they at least paint a bright glossy glaze on top of it? Dayum.

You know, if we don't get some more manufactured optimism out there, and I mean quick, it's going to be hard for us to move ahead with plans to use Iraq as a base to bomb Iran.

Someone Make It Stop

Please. The audio tape of Larry Craig's exchange with the cop in the bathroom... someone, please make it go away. The Republican Party can't handle yet another scandal. We've had so much corruption, criminal conspiracy, cover up, incompetence, and deception -- plus another high-profile gay sex scandal -- that I just don't think we can handle too much more of this.

Well, thank god this didn't happen too close to election time. This could be a political STD, spreading its taint to all Republicans running... even Big Daddy.

(And no, I don't mean the funny kind of "taint.")

I Think I Know How to Get Larry Craig Out of the News

If we leak some news about our upcoming campaign announcement -- well, it will continue our Entertainment Tonight approach to campaign media and it might get the public to stop thinking of bathroom sex when they hear the word "Republican."

Well, if I have to take one for the team, so be it. That's called leadership, folks.

Oh, Lordy Lordy

Folks, I just don't know what to say about this Larry Craig business. But I definitely can see why the GOP caucus stripped him of his committee assignments: I mean, how can someone who goes in for sex in public bathrooms be the lead Republican on a committee all about Superfund and environmental health? His career is a brownfield.

Oh, lordy. We just didn't need another scandal, what with all the GOP Senate seats coming up in the next election that we aren't sure we can keep.
